Respecting clients' privacy

Recently at a session I took some pretty amazing photos of a family on a beach here in Puerto Vallarta. And I was so eager to share them everywhere, because I absolutely love sharing family stories and the people I have the honor of meeting through photography.

However, as we were wrapping up the shoot, the beautiful mama asked me to not post any photos of the session as they were trying to keep their baby son off the internet. I was saddened because the photos are gorge!

YET… I was also happy that I was able to give them photos that they will be able to enjoy privately. Only their trusted friends and family will be able to appreciate the photos and that is what I do this for really. That is WHO I do this for.

Photography is for familly and friends. Photography is for future generations to appreciate and remember those who have passed all too soon from this world. Photography is to be share by the intimate circle of friends.

When social media exploits and reshares can often get lost and the face of you child could potentially end up as a meme, makes more sense to keep photos private.

And you know, I RESPECT IT 100%

If you ask me to take a photo down, not share, or keep your photos private, guess what? I will. I don’t care if they are the most beautiful photos in the world and I want everyone to see my work. I care about you and will honor what you’ve asked.

In the end they are not mine, they are YOUR PHOTOS. I do this FOR YOU and so I will always respect my clients to the best of my ability!

Simply knowing that you’ll appreciate them, print them, and hang them on your walls so you can look at your beautiful family and appreciate them even more is all the gratification that I need!

Trust me, compared to that, no number of likes on social media is more important.
