35 mm Tuesday ... on a Friday

A trip through cow county.  I was there for like 10 minutes shooting these amazing cows drinking from the watering hole and just as I put my finger on the shutter to take the second to last shot on the roll, the cow looked up.  As if it was meant to be.  And the following photos are from a trip through LA.

Happy  Friday!

Just Because | Inland Empire Portrait Photographer

I don't like the rain.  Not one bit.  It's cold, my feet have a hard time warming up, my hair doesn't stay curled and people can't drive.   Southern Californians can't drive when it's dry...let alone with it's wet!  But in order to make the most of this crappy weather (when it should be warm and beautiful) I decided to go out and shoot.  Asked a few people on Facebook and got a couple of responses.  Kat is one of them.  Well, when we arrived at the location it was dry.  And even the sun came out.  I hope California stops playing with my emotions and gives me a blistering hot summer.  So I can hit the beach, surf, and sleep while tannin.

She is aspiring to be an actress and I think she's got the look for it.  Kat: Thanks for coming out and hanging out in the dry sunny afternoon.  We didn't get any rain but we did get some great shots :).

Debbie: You're up next :)

35mm Tuesday

A little trip to the Crab Pot in Long Beach.  Drank a huge glass of Fat Tire.  And a trip to Sunset Beach in Seal Beach.

I own a point and shoot digital camera however, for some reason, the automatic zoom 35mm point and shoot is so much more fun.  It is like a sweet surprise hoping to get what I saw.  Film tends to photograph just as I see things.  With the same light, same shadows, and same feelings.  I am excited to keep shooting more film and sharing it with you all.

A little from my weekend

Got some rolls of film developed and they ended up not having much in them so I will show you a little from my weekend taken on my phone.  I love that I have a camera everywhere I go and apps that help me edit, make collages, and share them online.

Bottles from a thrift store.  My new addition to the Polaroid camera collection.  Cant wait to get film for this camera! And a trip to Universal City Walk.

Bernice | Boudoir Photographer

Bernice commented very nice things on a mutual friend's post on Facebook about the work my sister and I do.  I of course said thank you with as many ! as I could put and instantly I friend requested her.  She and I would talk here and there, but I knew that we totally got each other.

So when she messaged me about doing a boudoir session for her fiance as a wedding gift I was more than happy to set the date.  Then she told me she wanted to pose on her fiance's Harley and right then I knew she was a girl after my own heart.  I mean c'mon, what's sexier than a boudoir session on a motorcycle?!

Bernice: thank you so much for allowing me to convert your garage into my own little studio.  It takes a lot of guts to show off your bad self and I had fun meeting you for the first time and being instant friends :).  I hope your fiance likes the photos... because you look pretty hott!

Anastasia & Duanne | Inland Empire Engagement Photographer

These two are so in love.  We shot at the Historic Citrus State Park and at the AMC theater, where Anastasia and Duanne had their first date.  As he watched her ascend the stair case leading up to the platform of the theater, he knew right away that she was the one.  He knew one day that he'd get down on one knee and promise forever to her.  She knew it too.

Anastasia & Duanne: Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your engagement session!  I had such a great time getting to know your story and the both of you two as well.

Happy Thursday!

Spring Time

Spring is probably my least favorite season.  So unpredictable with it's hot days that quickly turn into gloomy rainy days.  However, it is a sweet reminder that we must take each day as if it were our last day.  Not knowing what to expect and making the most of it.

Are you dreaming big?  Are you enjoying every minute of your day? Taking in the sights around you?

Where ever you find yourself today, remember to enjoy yourself.

Happy Monday!
