Michael Branding & Headshots Old Town Puerto Vallarta

More and more I’m getting solo session clients and I’m loving it! Having that one-on-one connection with people from all over the world is something I really enjoy.

I met Michael at his condo where he was staying and the rooftop did not disappoint! The playlist they had was giving us major 90’s and 00’s vibes with Cher, Nirvana, Snoop Dogg, and Whitney Houston blasting through the speakers. It was adding to our already fun session!

Anyssa | Headshot Photographer

I had such a great time with Anyssa!  We met at the UCR Botanical Gardens on a very hot day.  Headshot sessions are so fun for me because of the one-on-one style.  It's a great time to get to know a person and talk to them like we've been friends forevah.  Of course, I love family sessions too, but these sessions allow me to relax and take my sweet time while I talk too much.

Anyssa is an actress.  She's been on Hanna Montana and a couple of other shows (that I can't remember because I thought being on Hanna Montana was just soooo cool!)  I know that she's going to go far because of her humble and sweet personality.

Anyssa, you were awesome and I had a great time getting to know you!  I'm going to keep my eye out for you next time you're on the tube ;).

Happy Saturday!

I'm taking a short break from my bookkeeping disaster to write this blog post.  I know what you're thinking: omg, she waiting until the week before to do her taxes and all of her bookkeeping!  Give a girl a break!  When it comes to the business side of things, I will admit that it's be a long and treacherous up hill battle comparable to Mt. Everest during it's worst snow storm.  Don't roll your eyes, I'm not being dramatic, I'm just keeping it real.   Luckily, I've had lots of help along the way in the form of blog posts and business savvy professionals.  However, it's no excuse and I am publicly promising myself that I will keep up with this years bookkeeping on a month to month basis.  Whew!

Onto more interesting things: Maureen.  Maureen is one of those gals that is full of passion and kindness.  One of those girls you'd love to have a movie night with and share celebrity gossip.  We photographed her session at the LA Union Station.  She was enthusiastic, passionate, and willing to try anything!  My kind of girl!  However, I did not realize how much this session had changed her life.  How it was a stepping stone to finding herself again.  When she told me that, I couldn't help but shed a tear.  I had no idea this fun and adventurous and kind person was even lost!  She even braved wind and rain for this session!  Which makes me feel so blessed to do what I do, even if I don't know it at the time :).

To Maureen:  You are amazing girl!  Adventurous, kind, beautiful, fun and passionate!  I am so honored to have been a part of your journey to finding yourself again and I seriously have no words to describe how honored I am.   I love watching your videos and can't wait to see where your next adventure takes you!

A little of what is up next!
Whew!  It has been a whirlwind and I kicked 2011 in the butt with a wedding, four portrait sessions, and a Living Social deal that ran for 6 days during the holidays.  I am more than ecstatic to start the year off with a whole new list of clients, families, weddings, and tons of work.

I can't believe that 2012 is here.  2011 was such a great leap for me both personally and photographically. I am truly grateful for all of my clients and the trust they give me when they have me photograph them.  Be it a wedding or family session, I am a better person because of my clients.

I look forward to many more tears at weddings, laughter at family sessions, and fierceness at portrait sessions.  Here's to giving all of these new clients a little piece of their life story in 2012.

In the meantime I edit all the wonderful sessions I've had and will have coming up, I leave you with these three that are up next on the blog roll!

2012, I have a feeling you and I will be BFFs.

A little fashion!

And a new approach to head shots :)

Model | Laguna Beach Photographer

Nicole and I messaged back and forth for weeks trying to nail down a day and time for her shoot.  She was looking for some beach modeling shots to help build her portfolio and of course I said yes!

It was cold and a little gloomy but we didn't get caught in the rain and even had some sun come through the heavy clouds.  I loved doing this shoot and you'd never guess Nicole is barely starting out in modeling!

Nicole: Good luck girl I know you'll go far!

Sneak Peek : Linda
We met over lattes and cappuccinos.  Over scones and bagels.  We met while working at a coffee shop and since then we've remained in touch.

Linda asked me to shoot some headshots for her and I was really excited! She's sweet and definitely has it to become a model.

Here are my favorites.

Beautiful Brunette | Orange County Portrait Photographer
I've known Brittney for quite some time now and when she asked me if I'd help her get started in modeling by taking some headshots I was happy to do so. For a few reasons: she is a gorgeous brown eyed brunette, and because I know that she'll make it in modeling. She's got that look.

So we headed down to The Lab to get some different backgrounds. These are my favorite of the day and I've gotta say we had some great light!

Happy Wednesday!
